French DELF Prim Programme
A 90-minute full French immersion class designed to assess, validate, and certify your child’s French language skills.
We welcome primary school children from Year 1 to Year 6. Groups are tailored to different proficiency levels, ranging from early reading skills (using the phonics method) up to the A2 level of the DELF Prim.
What is the DELF Prim?
The DELF Prim is an official French Language Diploma awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. It is internationally recognized and valid for life.
Levels covered: A1.1 – A1 – A2
The exam evaluates and certifies four core language skills through an internationally recognized diploma:
-
Listening (Compréhension de l'oral)
-
Reading (Compréhension des écrits)
-
Speaking (Production orale)
-
Writing (Production écrite)
While built on the same structure as the adult DELF, the themes are specifically adapted to young learners (aged 7 to 11). It focuses on everyday topics suited to their age, whether they are discovering French for the first time or expanding their existing skills. At this introductory level, children learn to interact simply, talk about themselves, and describe their immediate environment.
A Positive Experience:
The DELF Prim is designed to be an extremely positive and encouraging assessment. It aims to celebrate your child's progress and reward their hard work, rather than sanctioning mistakes.
